Ari and I are excited to present our new recording, "Sheltered."We started this project during the onset of the 2020 Pandemic while our family sheltered in place at our home just outside of River Falls, Wisconsin. Ari had taken a gap year after high school and spent the last year building relationships and booking gigs as a young solo performer. His bluegrass band, The Silver River Band, had worked hard to earn main stage spots at regional festivals. We watched as one gig after another was cancelled leaving little hope for this year’s live performances that Ari was so looking forward to. With that disappointment came the opportunity to claim time that was always filled with work, school and being busy, and we played a lot of music. We recorded a few songs in my studio in early March, and when the lockdown continued we kept on going. We decided the time was right to create a father and son album using the hidden gift of time we now had. In the end, we ended up with eight tunes that we had an absolute blast arranging and recording. Our hope is that you enjoy these songs as much as we did spending our unexpected time together recording them in the studio.
